A Dart populaire is a 125km ride where a team of cyclists must finish in 8 hours after start no more and no less. And several teams all start at different locations and finish in the same location (moor park in this case).

We burned a little too much time in the morning hanging out and drinking coffee and I paid the price up the climb in topanga and the smaller climbs after pedalers fork. 
I almost quit after mile 65 because my HR was out of control since I did nothing but drink and eat in El Salvador. Yet through a series of crazy coincidences (a team member getting two flats) I actually caught up to the group and we finished together exactly at the 8 hour mark. 

This was the last in a series of rides I had to to do earn the Rouleur Award and by the skin of teeth I barely made it!
