We wanted to meet up with a group ride that leaves from Central Park but we completely underestimated the hellish landscape of Manhattan at rush hour. We went over the Williamsburg bridge this time and rode straight through the heart of downtown Manhattan on 6th street and were beset by honking cars, E-bikes, tourists, taxis. All I could focus on was dodging and weaving between all the lights and sounds around me. But dang New York City was electric by night! We totally missed the start of the ride so decided to ride back to Times Square for a photo shoot then rode back home over the Manhattan bridge.
