Afternoon Run

Official: 2:59:59

✓ Goal A: Sub 3 hours. What a squeaker! The net downhill definitely helped, but I underestimated how much toll it would take on my quads. I ran out of gears at mile 20 and used the buffer that I built up. Thank the gods for my finishing sprint!

✓ Goal B: Sub 3:05 (2019 BQ cutoff for my AG)

✓ Goal C: Sub 3:14:16 (== π, my PR @ NYC)

I have a lot of thoughts about my race prep and execution that I'll dump into a blog post at  this week.

Funny SNAFU: my prescription sunglasses broke near the bridge right as I got off the bus at the starting line. I had to sacrifice a piece of medical tape that was being used for nipple protection to mend it. (The nipple is fine, thanks for asking).
