LSD w/ On and Off

Ate and slept well last night.

DJ dropped us off at the Birkie Ridge Trailhead and we (Jim, Stephen and myself) got to the start with plenty of time to spare. Mother Nature blessed us with a glorious sun-kissed day in Wisconsin's Northwoods and the event started on time.

I skied with ease and peace focusing on form and terrain-appropriate technique. I stopped at all the aid stations to consume sufficient nutrition and hydration (banana, cookies, gel, water and/or heed). With gusting winds and tiring body, the final 20k felt hard but I believe held on to the form as much as possible. Realizing that I'd have a harder time if I didn't make gravity my friend, I stayed in the tracks for lot longer than I have in the past.

Saw/Chatted with friends, fellow skiers and angelic volunteers before, along the way and afterwards. The official finish time  was 5:18:22. Good outing.
