Sticking with the plan I made on 2024-12-14 (60 minutes or 10k each day … whichever came later, and sprinkling of speed - structured or otherwise - whenever easy felt a bit too easy), ran at home at an easy effort level in pursuit of reaching 1536 running miles for the 2024 calendar year.

Started from 6.10 mph and bumped it by 0.10 mph every 5 minutes, and the final 10 or so minutes was a game I made up called '7 minutes in heaven' - bumping up the speed by 0.10 mph every minute. Watching Sprints S2E1 got me energized and extended the heavenly run by 3 more minutes. Good run.

A tenth of a mile here, a quarter mile there and a second run every once in a while … have all added up so that I needed less than 5.50 miles per day the rest of the way prior to this run. Ideally, I’d like to have this pursuit wrapped up with a day to spare and I believe I am on track to do so.
