Despite coming off the Colorado Trail absolutely heated up from my run, I was almost instantly freezing on the ride down. My decision to not wear full gloves came back to bite me hard as my fingers were the first to freeze. I also wished I had a warmer long-sleeve under layer as opposed to a running T with a very light windbreaker. On top of that, it was getting dark and I had to stop shortly down the hill to fix my bike lamp, but even then, visibility wasn't great as far as seeing the rough patches ahead of time.

I wouldn't say I don't remember the ride, but I was certainly focused on my freezing hands more than anything else. It took a good 10 minutes in the car to warm up. I know the canyon gets wicked cold when the sun goes down, so next time I'll make sure to be more prepared. No regrets, though. A really fun ride-run-ride that I can't wait to do again.
