Humbled by the Sierra

Since we’re moving to the PNW, I really wanted to get out and do a big effort in this Sierra before we left. Originally, I thought that I could carryover fitness from MTF but life proved otherwise. 
I set out to try to get the FKT on the evolution loop (didn’t get it, it was done in 10 hours and 31 minutes before Strava was a thing). I definitely could have used a lot more fitness, but the upcoming move has taken a lot out of my time to train. Things started out pretty well and continued pretty well until I hit the high country. Couldn’t run without getting lightheaded and dizzy above the upper 10,000 foot level. Turned into a lot more hiking up there, but at least I got to really soak in the beauty!
Super grateful for  MDubbs p/b  it south to north so that we could do a car swap. All in all, it was a great day in the mountains. Tons of type two fun.
