I finally got to ride this trail that I’ve heard so much about over the years and it held up to the hype. 

I decided to ride it out and back instead of doing the loop using the paved path and the dirt road, Im glad that I did. 

It was great to climb up, it’s mellow and smooth for most of it with a few rocky, loose switch backs. 

Riding up at a slower pace allowed me to look around and take in the views. 

Overall, I would say this trial is a blue (shown as a black on Trailforks) and any technical sections can be hiked or avoided. No drops or unavoidable tech sections. 

It’s very exposed so it would be good to start early in the day in summer months. The weather in mid-September was absolutely perfect. 

I’d like to spend more time here and add on longer trail sections. 

This are is popular for bikepacking, saw a few hut systems and a lot of people bike packing.
