From the hut the least steep route is to follow the steps up, past a small outbuilding, then down onto the glacier on the Monte Rosa side of the hut. Head E then descend on steepening glacier, but never more than 25 degrees, easier if it is snow covered....

Begin with one of the highest and most exposed 4000m traverses in the Alps, and if you still have energy try and do the rest! Lyskamm has a reputation for cornices so stay well away from the ridge crest unless you are certain it is safe....

In some conditions this is the technical crux of the Italian Classic 4000er Spaghetti Tour. Il Naso is an exposed slope, which is prone to icy conditions. It is worth checking with the huts, before you start this route, to the state of this slope, as in icy conditions it is demanding and you will be pleased with steel points on your crampons....

Reverse your descent route of yesterday, climbing back up under the Vincent Pyramid and towards the Col de Lys. Pass to the L of the Balmenhorn with its obvious bivi hut....
