A delightful beginner trail that passes through a stunning grove of aspens.
Verde is a beautiful, flowing green run that winds back and forth across the mountainside in Snowmass’s lower zone. This trail is the perfect place for beginner mountain bikers to improve their skills! The singletrack is never overly challenging, but the delightful trail will have riders unconsciously working to ride harder and faster!
Up top, the trail flows through low berms and rollers in the pine trees. But as it descends lower down the mountain, the singletrack enters a fantastic grove of aspens. Here, the trail consists of sublime black dirt thanks to the deciduous canopy, offering hero dirt traction and simply fantastic singletrack flow. Even advanced riders can appreciate this delightful stretch of singletrack!
Along the way, Verde junctions with many other trails at several points, including the intermediate Viking trail. It’s possible for riders to mix and match sections of Verde and Viking to slowly work up their skills and advance up the difficulty ladder here in the Snowmass Bike Park. Written by Greg Heil
