Leaving Refugio Vittorio Sella, begin by descending down to the valley and the town of Lillaz, where you then start to climb up to Alpe Ponton. You will climb past Colle Pontonnet and Col di Fenis....

Begin the day by passing a series of alpine lakes, first the Lago di Cerelose Reale and then onwards to Lago Serru and then Lago Agnel. Then you will climb up to Rifugio Citta di Chivasso, where you can take a well-earned break before another huge climb, where you will have to get off and push until Lake Dujan....

Brace yourself for a day of a lot of pushing uphill. From Eeu Rousse, head up a steep path towards Alpe Leviona and on to Col Lauson Pass (3296m). On the other side, the descent is very steep and crosses rough terrain, so it may be advisable to walk a few kilometres down until it eases up and becomes a stretch of the best downhill you could imagine, with unreal mountain panoramas to add! Whizz down to Refugio Vittorio Sella, your stop for the night....

The final day of the Transalp starts like most of the other days, with a big, big climb! First you will meet a junction that leads the Fenetre du Durant before climbing up to 2800m....
