Marrakech - Tensift - Al Haouzで一番のハイキングトレイル

While most trekkers go due south out of Imlil (heading directly for the Toubkal refuges) this route takes you immediately away from the crowds and into the wilds of the Atlas mountains....

This is the quickest way of getting between the Lepiney and Toubkal refuges but it's still fairly long (particularly in winter) and takes you through to a very remote part of the Atlas mountains....

Toubkal is not only the highest peak in Morocco, but it's also North Africa and the Arab World’s tallest summit. Toubkal is part of the Atlas Mountains at an impressive 4,167m above sea level....

This really is a trekking day which combines everything hikers look for - epic views, peace and quiet, and a beautiful hut waiting for you at the end. On a logistical note, the guardian for the refuge lives in Tizi Oussem so you will need to contact him and ask him to come with you and open the refuge in return for a fee....

After the long hike on Day 1 from Imlil to Refuge du Toubkal, there is little distance remaining to the summit—but still nearly 1,000m of height to gain and around 3 hours required to reach the top....

Although Toubkal has the obvious draw of being the highest peak in the Atlas, Ouanoukrim is arguably more aesthetic and is certainly wilder than its marginally higher neighbour. Provided you have the requisite fitness, it is perfectly possible to do Toubkal and Ouanoukrim on back-to-back days, and doing so is highly recommended....
