Col du Vallon

6,84 km·
16 m
A great trip into the Vallon du Fruit - mellow skiing and stunning views of the Aiguille du Fruit - the busy Mont Vallon pistes are soon a distant memory! This also makes a good extension to K2 couloir or variants if you hang a hard right traverse at the bottom of the couloirs and cut across the piste....

La Grande Rosière

2,64 km·
4 m
A great descent running almost top to bottom of this side of the Mottaret valley, following the edge of the Tuéda Nature Reserve all the way - this feels surprisingly ‘out there & away from it all’ almost as soon as you leave the piste and until you hit the path back in towards the top of Mottaret village some 800 vertical metres later....
3

Côte Brûlée

1,54 km
A classic ‘close in’ off piste run with high North-facing slopes (and so often holding cold snow),the Côte Brûlée does see a lot of traffic but with very rare sections at 30º or above it is accessible to most off piste skiers....
4

Dou des Côtes

3,34 km
Great meadow skiing followed by a slightly steeper section before the angle eases right back again, this run is best enjoyed early in the season after a cold light snowfall. Overall the mountainside here faces West and the run drops down quite low to St Martin (1400m) so is prone to getting crusty or simply just running out of snow once the weather starts to warm up....
5

Creux de la Stetta

4,28 km·
7 m
Open, tree-lined skiing down to the mid-station of the Olympe bubble at Le Raffort. The lower half has lots of lumps and bumps to play around on, followed by either a ‘James Bond’ track or more or less fun bush-whacking before you hit the end of the piste down to the Raffort mid-station....
6

Rocher de la Loze - Freeride face

1,57 km·
222 m
From the Col de la Loze (accessed via Dou des Lanches or Loze chairlifts) walk or skin up the right hand ridge to the top of the Rocher de la Loze - with good snow and a bit of cunning it is possible to skin the whole way, though often it is easier to boot-pack (and there is normally a good track in place a few days after any snowfall)....
7

Rocher de la Loze - couloir Nord

1,3 km·
240 m
A Courchevel must-do for the couloir connaisseur - this is clearly visible as you come to the top of the Dou des Lanches chairlift (accessed from Meribel by the Love Express chair)....
8

Gebroulaz glacier - Mottaret

15,67 km·
323 m
The ‘Vallée Blanche’ of the 3 Valleys. A good ratio of up to down and a tour that sees a fair bit of traffic, this is however not a run to be under-estimated from an objective danger point of view despite the fact that you will see people cruising over here with no obvious signs of crevasse rescue kit - the Gébroulaz glacier has been known to swallow the occasional person (though none permanently as far as I know!)....
