La Solana's shortcut line
Backcountry Skiing Route

A short cut line between the slopes, close to a little ridge.
This is an easily accessed line as "Port Negre" and "El Coll" lifts are the start of the line. The line is not steep and between 2 slopes and can feel like a piste but there are some rocks about if there is low snow cover. The line gets a early lot of sun (it faces East) and in late season expect some wet or frozen snow; make sure about the weather and snow conditions before heading in. Avalanche risk is pretty low around here except for the edge of the face of the run. The line finishes on the blue piste "Els Planells" at the top of the ski lift of the same name, which leads back to main ski area of Arinsal. Written by Kevin Blanc
