Sydney's Royal National Park is a vast and wonderful park close to the city center. The oldest nature reserve in Australia, the RNP contains both forests and beaches and attracts hikers, mountain bikers, and roadies alike. Heading along Sir Bertram Stevens Drive, riders will find themselves surrounded by an expansive forest of gums. After completing this stretch of undulating and scenic road, cyclists climb up McKell Avenue and through the town of Waterfall. On the way home, enjoy a mostly downhill straightaway along the Princes Highway back into the city.
