Cycling Route

Beginning in Warburton, this epic route is a climber’s dream come true. Tackling two legendary mountains and ascending over 4,000 kilometers, cyclists will fall in love with the beautiful yet brutal Yarra Ranges. Lake Mountain is a lengthy and challenging climb that is especially tough during the first four kilometers. Don’t let the average gradient of 4.5% fool you! Rising out of the ashes of this fire-affected town, riders will climb all the way to Lake Mountain Alpine Resort. Next, it’s on to the challenging and mostly traffic free Mount Donna Buang. Offering incredible views of the Yarra Ranges National Park. This lengthy, steep, and alluring climb has riders both loving and cursing this epic segment. If you feel like getting dirty, try the unsealed backside of the climb for a real adventure. Known as “Dirty Donna”, kudos to whoever makes it to the summit.
