An alternative, more challenging descent section near "Gunpowder."
This trail offers an alternative, more challenging descent near the "Gunpowder" trail. Graded by the bike park as a Red downhill track, it has lots of jumps and technical features.
Funky Tufs is a long and extremely fun trail for skilled riders. It is very playful, with plenty of banked turns, and a more technical section in the middle.
Expect smooth man-made trail—it can be very fast. In some places it's so smooth it could nearly be ridden on a jump bike! Funky Tufs sports lots of berms, whoops, and tabletops (with ride-around options) and includes a small free-ride zone. There is a feeling of exposure at times on this trail due to being high up in the mountains, and the steepness of the track.
Access the trail by taking the Tovière gondola or Tufs chairlift, and by initially following the "Gunpowder" trail.
At the end of the trail continue on "Gunpowder" to the bottom.
The park lifts are open from the end of June to the end of August. Written by Cece Moore
