A no fall zone traverse easily accesses a steep 'East Face' for you to leave your tracks on.
From the top of Peak Chair take Matthews Traverse and cut off skiers left to The Cirque double black. Once out of the narrow straight-line of The Cirque, traverse high skiers left for about 250m (no fall zone) underneath large cliffs to your left and above a 70ft cliff band on your right. Once you can see Peak Chair again the face will become apparent in front of you. This convex slope has some 5-30ft cliffs with excellent steep landings on the skiers right however stay skiers left and you should be in for a good few face shots on a powder day. For a line with no cliffs, ski diagonally left pointing towards Peak Chair. Once off the face, enjoy the snow back down to Peak Chair for your next lap! - Often there will only be one or two lines on East Face for a good few days - Make them yours! Written by Finn Target
