A balance of suburban and rural, forest and field, land and sky, on the outskirts of Donaustadt.
From Breitenleer Strasse, Stage 19 of the Rundumadum enters what is now a forest park, but the vegetation here is reclaiming former developement. You’ll see the crumbling supports of an old bridge or aqueduct looming over the trees. Here the Rundumadum shares a route with Stadtwanderweg 10, along a dirt road with forestry on one side and agriculture on the other. You’ll soon come to a major road and cross it on a grassy overpass, then deviate from the Stadtwanderweg and continue through a small lakeside community. The stage ends at Wagramer Strasse, near Bettelheimstrasse station of bus 25A. You can find a few small shops and restaurants in this vicinity, but it’s mostly residential. Stage 20 continues along a tree-lined lane, passing agricultural fields, a small residential area, and the Sportpark hotel and golf course. The route then crosses a railroad and follows a dirt road through a swath of farmland. After entering another residential area, the stage ends at Gerasdorf train station, with a guesthouse nearby.
