This route begins and ends at the Visitor's Center parking lot at Pilot Mountain State Park.
The route follows Grindstone Trail, Mountain Trail, Grindstone Trail, Ledge Springs, Jomeokee, back to Grindstone and back to where you started, but you could do this loop in the opposite direction.
It includes a full loop at the base of the mountain and one lap up and down the summit.
