Ryde to St Helens - A Seaside Ride
Cycling Route
Details
7.4 km
86 m
This provides an attractive additional route on the Island’s coast. Alternatively it can be combined with other routes as part of the East Wight Explorer
Following the sea for much of its length, this route takes you along traffic-free paths and quiet roads from Ryde to the attractive village of St Helen’s, with its pub, classic English village green and the added bonus of a stunning National Trust nature reserve (The Duver) and beach stretching into Bembridge Harbour. The section to Seaview is fairly easy, level cycling. When you get to Seaview there’s a fairly steep climb for a short section as you head inland.
