Ruta ciclística
Detalles
121.66 km
943 m
Ride Type: Trail
Difficulty: Advanced
There are so many incredible gravel roads that make up the Skipton Rail Trail. This is the sort of ride where you can settle in for a long day for this full route, or if you don’t feel like going the whole way, turn around when you feel like, or get someone to pick you up down the way. The choice is yours.
After fuelling up at one of the great cafes in Ballarat, head out of town via Lake Wendouree and jump straight onto the Skipton Rail Trail.
The trail takes you through some amazing scenery; from the farming paddocks, eucalypt forests, and little villages along the way. While on the way, stop and marvel at Nimmons Bridge before continuing on through Linton and on to Skipton.
Refuel down in Skipton, before you turn around and head back to Ballarat. The full route is a long day, but it’s worth it. When you get back to town, park up and enjoy a refreshing, well-earned cold drink.
