TM35 2024

With two big climbs and nearly 2000m of elevation, TM35 has the biggest elevation-to-distance ratio of all RMB UTCT distances.

From the first climb up Table Mountain, Platteklip Gorge, you experience the middle section of the race featuring technical descents and some flat, runnable sections, the "400 Stairs" climb along the Newlands contour. Here, you might start to experience the effect of Cape Town's summer sun as Sunday has historically been the hottest day of the weekend.

Dropping down the ravine, you head into the shaded forest, back through UCT before going up the climb to the King's Blockhouse, Garmin's Craziest Climb. From there, it's a contour cruise back down to Garden's Rugby Club.
