La Doyenne 2024, Konnichiwa Edition.
We completely revamped La Doyenne route in 2022 and added road bike-able dirt, wood chips, and gravel trails. We even made an all-paved version which eliminates all that fun stuff for those inclined. Those two routes are mostly unchanged from last year except for the top of Vranderberg Road at mile 19, just go straight to avoid the gnar of construction on the old airport road.
1. Main, Complete Route (the only course that is painted):
2. All Paved route:
We're taking the inclusivity two steps further this year by adding two shorter (but still hard) versions. We've clipped the walls and softened the edges, eliminating every (possible) climb over 10%. You still get to finish up Mt. Scott though!
3. La Doyenne Mini, all paved:
4. La Doyenne Mini, with unpaved trails:
Presenting the all-downhill return-to-the-start route.

SAFETY
* Whichever of the four routes you choose, PLEASE download it to your GPS head unit or to the RWGPS app on your phone mounted to your handlebars and use it to navigate.
* The main course is mostly/partly painted but please don't rely solely on navigating via Lions and Arrows. The sections that never got painted last year will be nice and fresh this year thanks to the artistry of Terry, Dirk, Hannah, Anna, and Eric. The rest of the course painting has not been refreshed nor verified.
* Please be AWARE that you may encounter other cyclists on course that are following a DIFFERENT route than you are. Ride defensively and don't assume they will be turning the same way you are.
* If you encounter any pedestrian on any trail, please slow to a crawl, say something friendly, and yield to the peds. Bikes are legal on all these trails but must yield the right-of-way.
* Please ride silently through the cemeteries and keep moving. Do not talk or stop.
* Don't break the law, dummy. You're responsible for your actions. I ain't.
