Ahead by a Century - 100 km

Red River Cycling Club will host its annual Ahead by a Century ride on July 7, with the usual distances of 100 km and 160 km. All cyclists who possess a valid 2024 MCA membership and who have experience with group riding in a paceline are invited to join. A road bike and a helmet are required. There is no fee for participating. No advance registration is required. A RRCC membership is not required for this ride.

The anticipated paces are 28 km/h for the 100 km route and 31 km/h for the 160 km route. Both routes will ride together for the first 50 km. Riders should come prepared with snacks and at least two water bottles. There will be opportunities to purchase additional beverages and snacks during the ride. Participants will be asked to provide proof of a 2024 MCA membership, such as a confirmation email on a mobile device.
