Oxford Half Marathon 2024 (big PB!)

Smashed it! This was a great run from start to finish. First few kilometres I realised my target  (1:34) was too conservative. 

My plan to negative split didn't quite happen, but I was really pleased with the execution. Felt controlled and pace and HR were steady. Managed a fast finish too. In retrospect, I probably could've emptied the tank a little earlier. 

I need to put more faith in my abilities. Felt I was holding a bit back today for fear of bonking. But that comes with experience doing these races. Had no idea what my HM limit was.

Buzzing with a 10+ minute PB! Bring on sub-1:30 at Brighton half.
