UTMR Day 0: Non-running stuff 👨‍🍳

A lot of highlights 🌟...

After yesterday's flatland stage I made some improvised detour with a pass ⛰️⛰️... but what a pass 🤣...

The start was wet 💦 roads but I did not get rain 🌧. It was very misty on quite bike lanes and slightly going up until Waidring were a very nice downhill gravel trail started along a river (Grießelbach).

I continued and I passed through a beautiful town 🏘, Sankt Martin bei Lofer and I decided for a coffee break ☕️⏸️.

Next town 🏘 was Weißbach bei Lofer and here was the start of the pass. A welcoming 15% sign 📶 was promissing. Quite a demanding start... then some flat and a new sign 🫣.

This time 30% 📶, ok... 🫨 challenge accepted 👻. As per cycling cols is 22% and my GPS marked exactly that. It was enough steep 😅. It felt like a wall 🧱.

The pass lead me to Germany 🇩🇪 and the other side long but with some steps in the profil with again 20% +... it was a rollercoaster 🎢. Definitively another highlight 🌟. The upper part is closed to traffic, so definitively quite.

Germany 🇩🇪 welcomed me with a lake, Hintersee. It was a perfect place to eat an old sandwich 🥪 while some chit chat with other tourists.

I saw more sign of 20%+ whenever I had some thoughts to leave the valley road... I was very tempted but more passes would have made me quite slow 🐌 and time was ticking fast 🕛.

In exchange I decided for a little detour to Königssee which did not dissapoint me. Very touristic but nice area.

Leaving Königssee got overtaken by a road cyclialst full gas and I decided to draft behind 💨🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ | 🤭. Definitivelly it helped... I got to Salzburg much earlier than I expected and well much hungrier 😅. A small talk, and thank you 🙏 and we splitted when I headed downtown.

Quick visit to Salzburg, re-fill 🍛🧃 and I kept going around 3pm 🕒. Leaving Salzburg was nice along the Salzach river and then Alterbach. The terrain  was very gentle although in average uphill ↗️.

I waited to arrive to the lakes around 🕠. I was surpirse how quiet the traffic was around the lakes, may be was because the time.

Today wasn't the most efficient line, but definetively fun 😃.
