nice day and nice trail conditions.  into second locked on Carlson's wheel all of lap 1.  he punched it hard in the field going into lap 2 and opened a gap.  i got in my own rhythm and had him back in shooting distance going into lap 3.  moment on inattention flying down the doubletrack and i caught a rut trying to grab a drink a bit it at 20+ mph. was passed by Kocian for 2nd as i was getting back on. had some good rash on arm and leg and strained my calf but not too bad.  took ahwhile to get my groove back and didn't get back in touch.  came home 3rd.  good time sminus the dumb crash.
