Beat my previous best from April 2021 by 1:15. Roughly 4.2 w/kg out of the saddle. The last 6-8 minutes were very hard but this effort was overdue. I'll take at least two shots at the 5k this summer and need to build aerobic strength using the bike.

One thing I find interesting is that my lifetime power curve (which from 30 min - 60 min must be entirely from AdZ attempts) showed what appears to be a very marginal improvement, if any improvement at all. It seems that ending with a huge sprint or sprinting the steepest parts of the course has a big impact and can cause jitter between efforts around the same average output. Similar to other race-like efforts over the past week, I can say that I was pretty familiar with the pace here, but the comfort I felt between the 60% - 80% mark was noticeably elevated.
