One of the worst bug experiences of my life. Bout 3 mins of intense biting while packing away my tent and escaping off onto the trail. Damn midges. Sunny and hot for Scotland I presume. Little to no shade. Staying in a hostel tonight. Decided to break the last 35 mile section into two days. Time for fish and chips!
