So so cold. Dressed so i'd be cold at the beginning and hot at the end, was expecting to warm up after the first hour but never did. Starting cold after camping probably did not help. Couldn't feel my hands at any moment of the race. Fumbled with gels and dropped stuff a couple times. Legs felt numb, when I told them to pick it up, they responded with something like "sorry what was that? Did you say something?"

But, this was still a better effort than doing a training run on my own, got to say to Tyler & a couple other friends, and be in awe of the presence of Courtney giving out bibs beforehand and putting medals on runners at the finish. Worth it. I'll be proud later of getting a win and being a couple seconds under Bryan's time.

Love the no frills vibe of Mad Moose events. We're there to run, not to pretend we're doing more than that. I'll keep coming back!
