Been eyeing an attempt at this one for a few years now. Previous best time seems to be 2h27m from 6 years ago, according to Strava. Stoked for all the reasons, especially given the last 12 months has been rather complex (11 events + thyroid issues) & "training" has been hit and miss for quite a while now. I seem to have good 2hr fitness but struggle with racing anything longer than that. Just need to embrace some shorter races & efforts it seems 😊
Not bad for almost 46 years old I guess.
Forest fire smoke was significant down low and I briefly questioned doing this upon arrival, now that I'm home I'm hacking quite and bit and smell like a campfire. Still worth it though 😆
