Forgot that you need good tire levers to get 700c tires off the rims. I had one tire lever integrated into my multi-tool and it had no hope of lifting the tire without breaking. I tried using pottery I found alongside the road, but I couldn't get the tire off. Even after K rescued me and took me home, it was still tricky to get the tire off even with my good tire levers. I think it was so old that when I filled it tubeless, the tire itself was sticking to the rim and separating as I tried to pull on it. I eventually got it off and have a slightly newer tire on there now.
