In the beginning of the race my front wheel collapsed. I went in full flight with a salto over the handlebar and crashed pretty hard. Dropped for the 1st time. After I got my shit more or less together, mentally and physically, entered the 1st sector okay, but had there a mechanical and needed to stop. Dropped the 2nd time, this time pretty far. Due to this I entered the 2nd sector last wheel. The race already blew in parts there and I was last group. On the 3rd sector, my team mate Benjamin Thomas went full throttle and afterwards the two of us were alone, chasing the peloton. Eventually we made it back and somehow I finished 12th. Went very deep for that. Lots of bad luck, but Thomas and my head saved my race. After what happened I am more than happy about 12th.
