I tried to push a tempo a little bit harder in beginning, because I knew the heat was coming, I was still able to ride in reasonable tempo, when temperature rose but at first steep hill I lost all my energy. 

Unable to regulate my bode temperature I frequently stopped in shadow. Unfortunately it continued even after the sunset. In the middle of the hill, I went to sleeping bag and try to sleep. I laid there for an hour, but since the sleep didn’t come, I tried to continue again.

Začátek jsem se to snažil trochu víc rubat, protože přijdou tropy a v tropech mi to nikdy nejezdí dobře. I v těch tropech, které se udělali odpoledne, jsem dokázal udržet rozumné tempo. Ale jakmile přišel první stoják na sluníčku, vzalo mi to všechnu energii.

Jak se tělo nebylo schopné ochlazovat, musel jsem často zastavovat ve stínu, abych z toho kola nepadl. Svaly ještě fungovaly, ale tělo už to nezvládalo. Bohužel se to nezlepšilo ani v noci, kdy teploty klesly na rozumnou míru. V půlce kopce jsem se zastavil na parkovišti a zkoušel to vyležet. Když ani po hodině na mě nepřišel spánek, zase jsem vstal a jel dál.
