Felt amazing to be back in a field of that caliber again. Doing 55+ kph on flats just because they could, crazy descent, shoulder to shoulder on tight corners. But what felt great was getting a gap on the first hard climb, leading the field up the KOM climb and breaking away. Granted all pointless moves, but damn it felt good to be able to do it again. 

Was still with the big dogs at 20 miles to go, but don't have five hours of racing in 95 degree back in my legs yet. Blew up badly. Finished around 35th (based on the riders just ahead of me) but got a pro-rated placing of 51st out of about 170.
