Short commute route lots of traffic on Christmas Eve

This was a tough year, always hard, always epic, always fun, always great people, I struggled on the way out but found my rhythm on the way back. Hands down, though, the toughest year was the 2019 skyway 300 with the massive thunderstorms hitting us up on the ridge. I mention this because two times yesterday when I was really suffering I remembered back to that night. And really at this point riding anywhere out there in my favorite part of Alabama just floods me with so many great memories. This may have been the second toughest year, though. I don't know b/c those early years when the only distance was 65 miles and I was in racing shape, there is something to be said about a 4 hour max effort that might actually make it tougher than a 21 hour all day effort. This one was particularly tough though b/c I felt off and pushed it really, really hard anyway for a long time.
