Felt great today despite the heat and yesterday's workout. I put some KOM efforts on the flats for a change, tired of going for uphill KOMs. I went strong and relaxed and all out in the end managing to get 2 KOMs on Ridgewood ave northbound. This included Smooth Northbound which really surprised me. Grove st. Clifton was another surprise to KOM at though the segment's slight uphill did suit me. Despite some tailwind, I am still incredibly pleased with my riding on the flats today. It's good to get some KOMs on flats because a good rider doesn't just climb well, he rides well on flats too.
Lambert Castle KOM was another surprise because I got it with little effort just exploring. After 2 laps a Garret I slowly went down to Eagle Rock ready for one last attempt on the switchback sprint.
It was a strong sprint wasn't too hard of an effort, just hard peddling and breathing, went good enough though to place 2nd and 3rd on the full segment.
