Home court advantage, we'll see how that goes! I left a little late and had to endure some heat.

It's a great course and cool format, five timed segments. The first is the longest and I definitely burned quite a few matches on it. Definitely need to pace the efforts. I took my time between segments. There is water at a couple spots on the route one being the golf course⛳ 

I rode my full suspension mountain bike and I think it's the way to go, all the segments are dirt and basically the entire route is dirt. And there are a couple steep sections along with conditions right now are dry, dusty and loose. If you use a gravel bike, go with lower gears and bigger tires. 

If you run out of chain lube, a great substitute is extra virgin olive 🫒 oil 🛢
