Approaching Seven Sisters

Ran from Berlin to the MA border on the Metacomet trail.  This run was unsupported, meaning I filetered my own water from natural sources, and carried all my gear, food, and did not accept outside help to find the trail, or have pacers.  I had a hard time finding enough streams to fully hydrate and to mix with my Tailwind, but I was getting by until the hose disconnect on my hydration pack broke, making filtering of water impossible.  There was still about 10 miles to go so rather than switch to "supported" status, I powered through to the end, but suffered much physical and mental anguish.  Before doing this run I registered it as a Fastest Known Time Attempt finishing in 17:05:02.  This should be pretty easy pickings for many of the faster Ultra runners that I know, but they will need to have a good plan for water, and it will need to be a wet season.   Very glad to have been the first one to do this trail and report it.
