Dude, 11 seconds.  Ouch!  Official time = 1:42:22.  Slowed too much after deliberate fast start.  Pretty tough hill at mile 9 & 10.  Made up for it with gradual downhill into finish.  Really like this course and event, very well done.  Managed the 8,000 participants well.  If you're in California next year we should consider doing this one together.

Race details:  Wave 1 started at 7:00am.  The following waves each got their own start horn at 1 min. Intervals.  Lots of spectators and cheering.  High school bands (several) playing along the course and some cover bands too, very cool and motivating.  Weather perfect. Chilly at start, warmed up only slightly, minor cloud cover, no wind.  Just a beautiful San Diego morning.  No stretching before start, ~1 mile warm up jog 30 min prior to start

Overall: 494/5608 = top 9% (other 2,500 were relay participants)
Men: 368/2553 = top 14%
Age M45-49 = top 14%
