So thankful we got to run this after the snap lockdown last week. Actual time approx 28 mins faster, got held at the last aid station due to lightning then had to finish without our poles! What a brutally stunning course. Basically a 4k rock scramble, 10km of THE best single track I’ve run in years, and a 35k climb with 2000m of vert back to the top. 

Tagged the summit of Mt Buller and took my page from ‘Marching with the Devil’ - a very appropriate tome for today’s outing - before a slow trot back to the village to finish.

Love a day on the mountains. The vistas, wildflowers, fresh alpine rivers, and the huts. Even the black snake was exciting.
