One of my favorite runs ever. Crushed stone and gravel, felt like I was on a slight downhill the entire run. Take out the wrong turns and my exploration of the rocky powerline trail and I was cruising at high 6:30 pace.

This lakeside trail is everything I look for in a trail. Totally shaded, not paved, no bugs or spider webs, good drainage, trafficked enough to not feel creepy, very few roots or jagged rocks, no sustained sharp elevation changes.

This is a special time of year where overnight coolness persists through the morning. Especially in the Poconos which are at a much higher elevation.
