Glad to pick up an FKT after failing/giving up on the last 4 attempts. A fun short loop up to the top of Mount Sunapee on summit trail and return down the service road. Was surprised how runnable the ascent was. Many flat or slight up/down sections made it feel pretty manageable. Mile 2 and the beginning of 3 was more technical and very wet, I ran cautiously trying not to step directly on rock or root since my shoes have terrible traction on wet terrain. Got to the summit around 25:30, immediately started the descent. Thought the gravel road would be really fun, but it the steep sections were brutal to run down. Tough uphill finish back to parking lot. Pleased with the effort, there might be another 30s off for me on a dry day.
