Veterans Point to Elk Creek TH. Wow, those motorized trails suck. New favorite trail section discovered, though. The ridge between Dalton Lake and Elk Creek is awesome. Got caught in a thunderstorm on the way down to Elk Creek and then found out there aren't any good campsites. Everything flat was poison ivy! Pushed on to the trailhead only to discover the creek is dry there. Luckily I was able to fill up a liter from the run off of the tent fly in the second storm that came through.
