This Boot Was Made For Walkin'

Three summers ago I _attempted_ to start the tradition of biking "Sunrise to Sunset on the Solstice" (S2SS). 2/3rds of the way thru the day, a mechanical failure halted that quest. But I've nailed the five solstices that followed (5.67x).

Today was MUCH warmer than last winter solstice. Even though I hit 40min of rain, the higher temp made this a net positive over last year. I made it 7hrs outdoors before pulling into qdoba for a quick queso warm-up.

Last year, after finishing my winter solstice ride, my total tiles count was 2674 and my max cluster was 384. I'd say it's been quite a year!

Today marks 1 year and one day with Jack. We've covered 1500 miles and I don't know how many Explorer Tiles. So thankful for that bike. Next on my list is a mountain bike (Jack, I won't love you any less … you got me through my Tiger Mtn epic overcommit … no bike will top that!).
