Humbled!

This was not an enjoyable day. I got tachycardia again quite early on after pushing it on a timed section, then felt bad for the rest of the ride. 

Some of the hills were just too tough for me; I would go past the climbers easily on the shorter gradients, but soon after the same riders would distance me on the long grindey ones. The three Cat 2s were a new experience for me, and were just relentless.

I also almost got taken down by a dog, just missed another rider going through the rear windscreen of a car, and had a terrible time descending Elk Mountain in torrential rain for most of the final hour.

Hopefully it was just me having a bad day, but in any case I'm happy to be doing most of my riding in the Lowcountry!
