Morning Run

Happy with the race overall with 11 min PB. Negative split by ~2 minutes. Felt good till the finish!!
Training runs last few weeks indicated this outcome. But come race day, was not confident if this could ever happen, as have been having poor sleep for past one week, particularly last 3 days increasingly worse(in fact the effort for the same pace felt bit harder in the race than in training). Hence our plan( with Simanta Baruah ) was to be conservative and comfortable until 34-35th kms and then start pushing( if all is well) only from there till the finish.
 Murali Gaddam (MG)  had a pacing assignment with Vishal Tandon🇮🇳  but he had to unfortunately DNF due to hamstring issues by 15-16 km. So Murali caught up to me at 17k and started pacing me until 35-36. This helped me ramp up the pace during the second loop of the race. Later he had to slow down due to loo break after 36k. Many thanks to him for the support during this critical block. Was able to maintain pace until the finish with a brief water break after 40. Many thanks to Simanta Baruah for his engaging company during the first half of the race.  Thanks to all runners of the Mandur run group for the support during all the training runs.
