Běžecký závod asi po pěti letech. Na začátku jsem to asi trochu přepaloval, rychle se mi unavily achilovky a sotva jsem se plazil nahoru. Hole jsem měl spíš jako překážku, protože se klouzaly a zasunovaly. Ve stoupání na Ještěd ale už stejně neběžel nikdo.

První delší seběh mě bavil tak, že jsem vyhnal tepovku na 194 a střídavě jsem se chlámal a sípal. Ty nesmeky se rozhodně vyplatily. Dalo se to s nima krásně prasit.

Zbytek už jsem musel odřít. Moc energie nezbylo, z toho chladu jsem pořádně necítil chodidla a v té brečce se prostě běhá blbě. Vykřesal jsem asi 44. místo z 200.

A running race after about five years. I think I overpaced it at the start, which quickly wore out my Achilles, and I barely crawled up the hill. My poles were more of a hindrance—they kept slipping and collapsing. But by the climb up Ještěd, no one was running anymore anyway.

The first long downhill was such a blast that I pushed my heart rate to 194, alternating between laughing and wheezing. The crampons were absolutely worth it. They made reckless descents much easier.

The rest was just a grind. I was running on empty, couldn’t feel my feet properly because of the cold, and that slush is just awful to run in. Still managed to scrape together about 44th place out of 200.
