(Not) 2024 Peachtree Road Race *

The first/previous attempt at traversing the Peachtree Road Race course had an asterisk due to a couple reasons: taking an unnecessary turn AND ending the run half a block too soon. Luciano Fiore (member of Atlanta Track Club’s Customer Success Team) confirmed/clarified the finish line location over a very courteous phone call (thank you!).

SC24 draws to a close today and this was one of the last runs with fellow attendees. We didn’t need headlamp but could have used a reflective outer layer in the pre-dawn hours. Good conversations.

Sidewalk navigation, standing still at road crossings and GPS idiosyncrasies contributed to the distance in excess of 10k. Legs felt like lead blocks in the second half. Cold and strong headwinds didn’t help our cause either. Good outing.
